POLYTECH 1st bloggers event, March 29, 2019

POLYTECH has recently held its first exclusive bloggers event, at the company's headquarters in Dieburg, Germany.

The event included 4 bloggers from different parts of Germany, who focus on women-wellbeing, fitness and positive body image, and are very active in social media. All of the bloggers (who’s ages range between 21 and 34 years old), have a common interest in breast implants, but are very different and individual in their views – representing the variety of woman who take interest in this industry. Some of the bloggers have chosen to undergo breast augmentation with implants, and some are considering the procedure.

An open dialogue with patients and surgeons has been an integral part of POLYTECH’s core values for the past 30 years. This first bloggers event is another step towards providing a deeper understanding of the innovation, technology, production, quality and safety aspects of our operation.

Why are we doing this?

In today’s age of transparency and direct communication, patient-education has become even more important. Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go. Even patients who have already chosen to have breast implants (whether in aesthetic or reconstructive procedures) are often not even aware of the type of implants used, or of the surgeon’s reasoning for choosing that specific implant.

As part of our commitment to transparency and to patient education, we are opening our manufacturing facilities to show where and how our implants are made: the production, the quality assurances and the safety procedures involved.

Made in Germany – Quality you can feel

Since 2008, all of the POLYTECH implants are manufactured exclusively at the company headquarters in Dieburg, Germany. We take special pride in the quality and safety of our implants. Opening our manufacturing facilities to bloggers is another step towards educating patients as to the quality and safety procedures that are an integral part of breast implant manufacture. At POLYTECH we appreciate the fact that each woman is unique, with her own needs and preferences. In breast implants alone we manufacture over 2,000 variants, enabling each patient and surgeon to choose according to the patient’s individual needs and preferences.

Meet the bloggers

When we decided to have the bloggers event, we searched online, and specifically to the social networks, to locate bloggers who are interested in our industry – very similar to how patients search for information. We were delighted that several bloggers have accepted our invitation to learn more and engage directly. We are happy to introduce them to you:

Considering breast implants (whether in aesthetic or reconstructive procedures) is a very private and individual choice. A well-informed patient can consider the different aspects of the procedure: the diversity of the implants: types, shapes and sizes, the quality procedures and the safety information regarding the implant and the surgical procedure.

We would like to thank all of the bloggers for taking the time and visiting us at Dieburg. We hope that we were able to demonstrate first hand the efforts taken in the production of POLYTECH’s Made in Germany implants.

In the next blog posts, we will share more on the actual event, and the individual stories of the bloggers, their journey and their individual choices in relation to breast augmentation and breast implants.
